Why teens are labeled as "cool" based on their clothing.

When it comes to clothes shopping it can really get expensive, but is it worth it or is it just to look cool in school? Sure, new brand close may look amazing, but is it really worth the price? This is a debate theme and it depends on the type of person. To set an example of this some expensive brands as: Calvin Klein, Aeropostale, Hollister, Buckle may look good but they are overpriced and I personally prefer if there were cheaper clothing but the same quality, and some stores have implemented this, for example: Ross, Walmart, TJ Maxx. The society in schools is getting worse every day, you get treated by the way you dress and that is not good because not all people have the same purchasing power, so in a direct way the person gets low self- esteem. One good solution to this daily problem is to implement school uniforms even on public schools, or to standarize dressing codes.
